Behind every polished project are two people perfectly in sync
We’re Liesbet and Joke, partners and co-founders of Raconteurs. We met at a major events company and spent more than 20 years doing what we love. When the world hit pause during the pandemic, we chose to move forward and build something of our own.
What’s kept us together is what drives our work: care about good design, clear conversations when it matters most and working with people who value the same things. We know that great results come from years of experience, yes, but for us they mostly come from sticking around to make every detail just right — and caring enough to do so.
You won’t find ‘the Liesbet and Joke chemistry’ listed in any budget, but it’s there in every project. It’s what makes working with us easy, solving minor inconveniences rewarding, and the results something we can all be proud of.
1. Some stories need four walls and a floor
Nothing will ever replace being together in the same space. To shake hands on something, exchange ideas or feel a brand’s story come alive. We design and build booths and events for people who believe coming together still matters most. From small-scale B2B events to large international fairs, we design and build spaces, stories and booths people want to step into and spend some time in. 2. WE’VE WORKED ACROSS INDUSTRIES AND SCALES
Many of our clients have become long-term partners, which is the best reference we could ask for. Our network runs deep, with suppliers and freelancers who share our standards and care about their craft. We work with both new voices and seasoned experts to bring out the best in every brief.
We’re not afraid of challenges or of being challenged, as long as the conversation is fair. We care about people, their safety and well-being, and it shows. Our team enjoys working with us because mutual respect is non-negotiable in how we do things.
3. MAKING SUSTAINABILITY OUR SECOND NATURE
We know how our industry looks from the outside, and we’re working to change it. Tearing down everything after an event is over is not the kind of work we believe in. We hold an EcoVadis label, keep learning about the latest sustainable techniques and technologies, and work with local partners wherever we can. Materials are shaped in Belgian ateliers and designed for our clients to reuse on multiple occasions.
